Day 2

So, there's been a break of about 6 days between the first and second time that I've been working on this project. Not a great start. I've been away for two days and there have been other days where it was difficult to get my 30 minutes of practice in without overworking myself. But there were also at least two days where I could have easily worked on the project, so there's that. I'll need to be a bit more strict with myself to get this project going, but as always it's more important to just keep continuing on with it, even if there has been a large break inbetween.


This day I focussed on the song Angela for the Rocksmith Project. It always feels like I could practice the solo a bit more to get it just right, but I think I'll keep having that feeling until I'm old and grey. So I just decided to film my first run and see how it would turn out. And lo and behold, I managed to get the solo right 2 out of 4 times. Last time I figured out how to effectively work around the pauze in the middle section so that was no problem here.

With the guitar part done I immediatly went on to some other things that were necessary for the video. In the beginning of the video, there is always a short section of me talking about the song, so I recorded that straightaway as well. And I downloaded the song to use as a backing track so that I'm really playing along to it in the video. All in all, great progress and much more work than just 30 minutes on this day. All the filming for the video is done, so I'll only need to edit and upload it, which I will be doing soon.
